Attention Engineers and Land Surveyors Licensed in Idaho – Change in Requirements

Engineers and Land Surveyors licensed in Idaho are required to take 30 PDH (Professional Development Hours) every two years. Renewal occurs on the last day of the month based on the licensee’s date of birth. Licensees born in an even year will renew on the last day of their birth month in even numbered years. Licensees born in an odd year will renew on the last day of their birth month in odd numbered years.

Previously, all 30 PDHs could have been completed online.  Now however, only a maximum of 29 PDHs can be taken via RedVector online coursework (webinars count as the same activity as online courses).

PDH units must come from 2 or more activities. RedVector online and webinar courses fall under the activity “Successful Completion of Other Courses.”

The Board does not pre-approve continuing education courses. It is the licensee’s responsibility to verify that the course material meets their specific scope of practice and criteria required by the Board.

If you are seeking online continuing education hours or have any questions about these courses, contact an educational advisor or our client support department today.
