NEW COURSE APPROVAL – Florida Protection System Contractors

RedVector is happy to announce the following  course has been approved for Fire Protection System Contractors licensed in Florida.

RV-10781 Fire Alarm Essentials

Remember, based on licensee class, contractors must obtain 14 to 32 hours biennially by June 30th even years.  Class I, II, and III certificates must get 32 hours of continuing education in the fire protection discipline. Class IV certificates must get 14 hours of continuing education encompassing the appropriate National Fire Protection Association fire sprinkler documents prior to renewal. Class V certificates are required to obtain 14 hours of continuing education prior to renewal,  of which at least 1 hour must be in the fire protection discipline.

As part of the continuing education for license renewal, ALL license holders must complete:

  • 1 hour of workplace safety
  • 1 hour of business practices
  • 1 hour of worker’s compensation
