14 CEH biennially by August 31st.
Renewal for certified contractors occurs August 31 even years.
Renewal for registered contractors occurs August 31 odd years.
Of the 14 CEH, at least:
-1 hour must be in workplace safety
-1 hour must be in business practice
-1 hour must be in worker’s compensation.
-1 hour must be on an Advanced Module of the FL Building Code.
-1 hour must be specifically related to laws and rules regulating the construction industry (effective 9/1/2007)
– 1 hour in wind mitigation methodologies for Certified and Registered Contractors holding the following licenses: General, Building, Residential, Roofing, Specialty Structure or Glass and Glazing Contractors (effective 11/15/2007)
– 1 hour in pool electrical for Certified and Registered Contractors holding a swimming pool specialty contractor license (New requirement effective with licenses renewing August 2018)
